Banshee
Originally thought to be a type of revenant, banshees are actually a type of fae.
A banshee is a female spirit who is typically tied to a family, and will herald and mourn the death of members of this family by crying, wailing and keening. They can also be seen washing the soon-deceased's clothes.
Although they are death omens, banshees are harmless; they announce death, but don't cause it.
Their appearance greatly varies, depending on family and region. Some look like maidens with long white dresses and long flowing hair, and some others look like very old women dressed in rags.
Despite being rarely seen outside of their death omens, banshees are sapient and can be talked to. However, they are rumoured to be quite grim and a little depressing to be around.
One banshee in particular, nicknamed "Annie" by her family, only spoke in archaic English and rhymes.
