An Average Life

Anyone who finds themself in the world of the underground long enough will eventually want out. With some circles, it's easier than others, but for others, such as those secret world-governing agencies, it is nigh impossible. They say the only escape from this life is death.

Summary

A normal life: casual travel, maybe a family, possibly having your own business, and just fitting in somewhere... or living off grid in the middle of the woods. No clandestine meetings, assassinations, suspicious packaging, or constantly looking over your shoulder.
They all have 1 thing in common: everyone who wishes for these has generally lived a life unseen, and they want a piece of peace.

Historical Basis

Alleged reports of people escaping the agency life have popped up every now and then, the last one being about 4 years ago. They say that among the casualties, several people nor their belongings were recovered.
Some speculate that they stayed off the grid and simply waited for the world to assume their deaths.

Anyone who spends enough time in the shadows dreams of a life in the light, one where ignorance is bliss. There's always idle talk about escaping the underground life, be it assassins, secret agents, or run of the mill criminals. If you walk a path of darkness or intrigue and have done so for more than a year, you have either had or heard such a conversation.
