From the corrupt super syndicate of Eurocorp who play one ruling government like a puppet to the ever-watching eyes of the socialist dictators and theocratic monarchs of the east to the far lands of Canada where the remnant citizens of the United States of North America reminisce about the days their fathers and grandfathers fought for freedom as they now fight for survival, the world has never been more grim.   Set in a time when mankind should be wondering when they will finally reach out beyond their planet to view the stars; instead, they are found wondering how long it will be until the stars never view mankind again.
