Interprefield

The Interprefield spans across the majority of London and the surrounding Suburbs enabling all beings capable of speech to comprehend one another. The barrier breaking potential of the field enabled London to become the hub for regrowth following the Mutant War.
While active the field emits a low frequency hum in the ears of those that it is interpreting for. The phenomenon is so common place that it is difficult to pick up on for most people.
Some scholars do fear, however, that the field may lead to the breakdown in structured language. As the field even works while one it mumbling or speaking a constructed language. A growing group of people are therefore pushing for languages to be taught in an isolated room where the field's impact is nullified or at the very least minimised.
