Darius is the current CEO of Light Corp. He was a operations expert working within the pre-glitch energy corporation NPower. After the Mutant War he founded Light Corp aiming to get ahead of the curve as society began to rebuilt.

Motivation

The war changed life in almost every way for much of humanity but I know that one constant would remain, the need to heat and light our homes. That is why I went out of my way to set up Light Corp so that I could be there for every household ensuring warm winters and well-lit nights.

Darius wishes to sell himself as outwardly altruistic and that his foundation of Light Corp was a medium to restore normality to the world's energy supply following the Mutant War. The generators most had come to rely upon during the war quickly became a luxury for many due to their poor efficiency and increasing fuel costs. Darius sold himself as the saviour of the people, offering clean and cheap electricity while bankrolling the repairs and construction of new infrastructure to support his growing empire. People even comment that he doesn't seem to have minded much about the EUF taking control of the energy infrastructure he had begun to build around 4 GE.
While Darius' altruism is widely questioned most accept that there were profit motivations too. Darius' previous work experience placed him well in setting up his firm and his shrewd tactics and connections offered Light Corp an edge on other start up competitors.
