Council of Seats

Bristol is collectively ruled by the Fourteen seats, or rather, the asses that rest on them. The title of Arl/Arlessa is hereditary and passed from generation to generation. Historically speaking, the Arls have been fairly well united for the past 1000 years, although there have been several feuds and intrigues, resulting in changes to the ruling families.
