Personal history

I was born in a small coastal village in the Northwest of Earion and spent most of my childhood being rejected because of my appearance. After understanding that I would never be trusted I decided to become the person they thought I was. I made a pact with The Great Old One, became a Warlock and started my life as a charlatan. All was well until 3 years ago when the con I was playing backfired. I had been staying at this inn near Sira, the elderly innkeeper Gertrude was one of the first people to actually accept me for who I was without all the mistrust. I had just swindled a group of passing thugs out of their life savings and was counting my winnings, everything was going my way or so I thought… They realized that they were conned and were coming back towards the inn and, long story short, when they failed to catch me they took their vengeance on the inn instead, leaving Gertrude seriously injured and with a burnt down home. I took care of her until she was mostly recovered and gave her most of my savings to rebuild her inn but the feeling of guilt from causing such suffering to someone who trusted me still haunted me. I decided to find a way to atone for my sins and I found it in the Order of Saint Cyril. After much effort to make them believe the powers I was granted from my pact were actually from their god I was able to join the Order and after nearly 2 years I have become well known as an Inquisitor of the Order.

Deep regret led me here. Now I try to be devoted to the cause.
