Zedaric Currency

The Kingdom of Zedara as well as a few other notible nations use the standard Zedaric Currency. Bordering countries such as Ranisston and Bagunston also use these coins, but generally only at border towns and the such.
Gold Coins
Golden Snake. is the most precious coin. Gold coins are often minted with a snake on one side and the face of King. In Lisani however, these coins have been reminted with the face of Queen Lisan. These are often called Golden Queens instead of snakes.
Silver Coins
Silver Twelve Star. The second most valuable coin. Twelve Stars are marked by twelve stars in a circle on the coin and a King at the center. These Kings can vary from generation to generation. These coins are also commonly known as Silver Dozens.
Silver Single Star. Silver Single Stars or Silver Stars are marked with a single star at the center of the coin. A single Pig is worth roughly three Silver Stars. For twenty five Stars, a man can buy a bull.
Copper Coins
Groat. Groats are the most valuable copper coins with the faces of various kings and queens on them. With roughly eight groats, a man can buy a good sheep for themselves.
Half Groat. Half Groats, although their name might be deciving are worth 1/6th the value of a full groat. Half Groats used to be valued at 1/2th the value of a Groat, but their value dropped as the economy changed over time and they were minted smaller and with squares cut out at the center. A loaf of bread is roughly worth the price of a single Half Groat.
Penny. A penny is the smallest coin and takes the shape of a square. Pennies are small enough to fit in the punch of a Half Groat.
