The Three Realms

Eaora is divided into three major nations called Realms - Azuros, Vernal, and Orias. In the series, the word Realm is a unique term for a specific type of nation. Here, a Realm is defined as a post-Fall sovereign nation with a well-developed economy, a democratic government directly ruled by its common citizens, and (mostly) united diverse cultures. To us, the audience, the three dominant Realms are similar and loosely based on countries/cultures from our own Earth: Azuros (Mexico [Baja, Jalisco, Colima, Veracruz], Sol Cal, Burkina Faso, Mali, Morocco), Vernal (India, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand), Orias (Iran, Palestine, U.A.E., Japan, China).
