The Elemental Forces

Maji can harness the Ashe within themselves and the environment to manipulate one (or more) of the five Elemental Forces of nature: Aqua, Sun, Geo, Sky, and Forest. Ashe is the fundamental essence that gave birth to the universe; and all living and nonliving things in the universe are imbued with Ashe.

Each Force manipulates Ashe in a specific form of matter or energy (ex. the Aqua Force allows manipulation of the Ashe within water-based liquids while the Sun Force manipulates Ashe in energies such as thermal and electromagnetic radiation a.k.a. light). Each of the Forces also has a secret Gift; an advanced power/utilization of the five Forces. Even if a maji manages to learn all five Forces, they will still only be able to use the Gift of their native affinity. The five Forces and their respective Gifts are detailed below.

The Five Forces

Aqua - Controls liquid and gaseous water and draws upon the strength of the ocean, rivers, lakes, and the moons. Its Gift is Cyro, allowing one to freeze water into ice/snow and cool things down. The Aqua Force is
Sun - Controls fire, heat, and combustion and draws power from the Sun. Its Gift is Lux, which allows a Sun maji to manipulate light and allows the creation of hardlight constructs and limited illusions. The Sun Force is more effective at increasing heat than cooling it down.
Geo - Draws upon the power of the land and controls earth-based soil, sediment, gems, and minerals. Its Gift is Magnetism, allowing a Geo Maji to sense magnetic fields and control magnetic metals and materials.
Sky - Channels the vastness of the atmosphere, and controls wind, gases, and air currents. Its Gift is Electricity, and allows electrostatic generation and limited control of lightning.
Forest - It can be used to manipulate plants and fungi (which have much weaker Auras than animals). Its Gift is Bio, which allows a Forest Maji to connect their Ashe to that of another living being in order to heal, harm, or otherwise control their biological processes.
