ophanim

Ophanim, also known as thrones or galgallin, are a kind of angel. The most pronounced characteristic of ophanim is their multitude of eyes.

Anatomy

Ophanim morphology is highly variable and can be changed at will. However, their appearance is often tailored in relationship to their rank. Thus, low ranking ophanim may have only a few eyes and many wings. These wings are then lost and replaced with eyes as they gain rank. Eventually, the eyes form rings, and the center eye becomes akin to a transparent womb containing a fetus. This fetus develops into an adult, and grows wings. This center adult then grows in size, dwarfing the rings of eyes.
