Fathers of the Early Church

The Fathers of the Early Church preach the existence of many gods known as Aeons, due to the belief that they have existed forever, outside of time. They claim that two Aeons, Demiurgós and Sophia, formed an egg from their union. The other Aeons scorned their child, as reproduction was outlawed as a waste of resources, and therefore attempted to destroy the egg. They were stopped by Sophia, who offered their own life in exchange for the life of the egg. After the other Aeons killed Sophia, Demiurgós was enraged and attacked them, but was quickly killed as well.
The egg, which is said to be the world, was put into a hypnotic, deep slumber, from which one day it will supposedly awaken and hatch, bringing about the end times, and avenging the death of their parents.
It is said that the increasing power of magic over the last few millennia is because the egg has begun to hatch. The Fathers of the Early Church intend to hasten its hatching by advancing the development of magic, so that all beings may be saved following the birth of the new Aeon.
