Cynocephali (singular: cynocephalus), or dog people, are a humanoid sentient species with the heads and tails of dogs.

Common Myths and Legends

Cynocephali generally believe themselves to be descendants of the god Anubis.
A widespread misconception among other sapient species is that cynocephali are responsible for lycanthropy, specifically in relationship to werewolves, despite it being widely known that this is not the case. However, this misconception led to their expulsion from the Empire hundreds of years ago, dispersing them throughout many other towns and cities.
Unfortunately, cynocephali blamed a small segment of their own population, the Wulver (cynocephali with the heads of wolves), for this explusion, and they further marginalize the Wulver, of whom only a select few are believed to exist.
