Practitioners of Adamah believe that in the beginning of the universe there was one singular being, the Adamah. They say that it formed itself into all things, so that its life force flows through all things. It is said that living things have more connection to Adamah than non-living things, and that beings who can use magic naturally, such as mages, are emissaries of the Adamah's will.
It is believed that once an individual dies, they are reincarnated as their spirit is recycled in the Pool of Adamah which resides beneath the earth. For this reason, deceased Adamah practitioners are fed to animals, as a way to continue this cycle of life. Once an individual's spirit has reached the Pool, the greater spirits Kalika and Maat judge them by their taste and redistribute the spirt accordingly. Eventually, if a spirit obtains enlightenment, through meditation, practicing and studying of magics, and by good deeds, the spirit is taken to Elysium, where the Greater Adamah resides.
Adamah worshipers consider oneness and unity to be positive traits, adhoring discrimination, minoritization, and marginalization. Blending of traits is considered sacred, and so many demi-beings, intersex people, etc. who have been abandoned are taken in as part of extended Adamah families.
