Shieldflies

Shieldflies are strange creatures. They are magical in nature, but only when present as a swarm. A single shieldfly is evolutionarily worse than normal flies - slower, brighter and worse at flying. However, shieldflies are rarely alone. Together, they create a magical "net" between them, interrupting anything that may try to attack or go through the swarm, including elements such as lightning, fire and water. The more shieldflies, the more powerful the "net".


It is not know if Anura truly created the shieldflies - but they certainly are not natural. They provide almost no nutrition to anything, and lifelessly fall to the ground if they expend their Mana.
