Sending Towers

Operating as the only widely available, instant, long range form of communication for people of Ealamkha'fif. A Terran invention, utilizing huge spires of magically conductive material often formed completely naturally, the communication takes place in a few steps. 1. Someone places a message for the queue, whether written or spoken. In rural areas, on might have to take a trip to a Sending Tower, or deliver a letter to it. In more developed areas with higher places, people may have a system to send these messages from their house. 2. The message is delivered to a Sending Tower worker, who forwards the message to the right Sending Tower. Messages can be marked "private", but often in large cities, a typical worker won't have time to be nosy. 3. The message is magically sent using Magi-Mechanical receivers and senders. 4. The message is either delivered to the correct household, or placed in a one-time use Record Stone.

Many people often use specific areas in the Sending towers known as Conversation Rooms, which allow to or more people to have a constant conversation over a usually limited amount of time.

While Sending towers provide much benefit to Terr'aina, the logistics of large spires in the other two realms have made it hard to popularize Sending Towers elsewhere.
