Dragons

In Eainor, dragons are demigods. In the massive confusing cloud of spirits and such, dragons are sort of like the gods' children or lieutenants or favorite hunting dogs, or rather a combination of the three.

Most demigods can change shape, but dragons are their true forms. Similar to biblical angels, dragons don't exactly resemble their common portrayals, but are rather far more unearthly. I plan to include a picture sometime, but also like angels, they are fairly hard to draw and need multiple depictions to get an idea.

However, after the The Fires of Extinction, most demigods were afraid to take dragon form where their power is most obvious and, presumably, most easily sucked away from them. In fact, after the fires of extinction, demigods/dragons hardly showed themselves to humans at all. However, that does not mean they are not present in the world anymore; they merely hide themselves better now.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A dragon's most prominent feature is its wings. These massive sails swirl around the dragon in graceful arcs as they fly through the air. Its glowing pairs of eyes gaze out from under a thicket of pointed horns reminiscent of antlers. Its arching neck and graceful serpentine body are interspersed with agile legs tipped with powerful yet delicate talons. From its mouth rains torrential, bright white fire.
