Anatomy

Looking like an overgrown horsetail with a reddish-brown pointed cap that sits upon the long stalk. The largest can grow up to 2.5 m high and as thick around as a slender Human waste, with the stalk being about as thick as a human wrist.

Dietary Needs and Habits

All of the nutritions this fungus needs can be found in the waste of many humanoid creatures. For this reason it can be used to clean waste water to a certain degree.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Praised for it's sewage treating properties this fungus has been a long staple in reducing the smell in larger cities.

Due to the mushroom being toxic it has been loosing out to other options in more civilised areas in order to reduce the risk of criminals getting a hold of them.

In small amounts, for example if one brushes a hand through the bristles on the stalk, the toxin causes severe diarrhea, which can be useful in certain circumstances.

The toxin is extracted by pressing out the liquid, called Redhorn milk, contained in the plant. This is already deadly when ingested, but the taste is so strong and distinct that it's difficult to use it in nefarious ways without being detected. For this reason Redhorn milk is often processed further.
