Remoh (re-mah)

Remoh is a famous poet from the Age on Enlightenment. They wrote the famous poem Ingentis as follows:   From humble home to stunning stronghold, The gods who walk among us forge our world. Your limitless power strikes awe in our soul, Compared to you all, we are mere foals.   First a “thank you” to you who wander the earth, Who lumber around with giant girth. You take what we make while on your break, In return for not eating us just like steak.   Next a short nod to you who eternally burn, Whose unbearable heat makes us constantly squirm. You enslave our people when we misbehave, To better your empire and set the world ablaze.   A faraway smile to you who sculpt the earth, Who live in the depths and don’t reimburse. You live quite peacefully without disturbance from others, But when they come knocking you start throwing boulders.   A shout to you who are always unyielding, In your frozen fortress with ceaseless competing. With your cold hearts and strength you fight, Never giving us a chance of flight.   A wave to you who sit in the sky, So rich and so powerful to we mere passersby. You sit aloof in your extravagant estate, Never mingling with we who think you are so great.   A bow to you who shape our fate, Living in seclusion away from our hate. You study the past, present, and future, Benevolent to we who treat you the producer.   From humble home to stunning stronghold, The gods who walk among us forge our world. Your limitless power strikes awe in our soul, Compared to you all, we are mere foals.
