Mankind / Humans

Humanity remains as diverse as ever, but in the face of global Fae rule, its many races and ethnicities have come to be identified as one- Mankind. Mankind is the dominant sapient species of the Mortal Plane, but its authority and power have been broken by the Unseelie, leaving little hope for the other mortal races to do any better against their oppressors.

While many opposing Human religions and factions still exist, the borders and laws of most countries have been dissolved over the last few generations, with all humans subject to the mercurial whims of the Fae. This has created a more or less unifying effect among the most numerous and least magical of mortal species, with even staunch rivals coming together in resentment when it comes to the Fae.
