The First Age, The Age of Creation

    The beginning
    Geological / environmental event

    Soon after Li'li'kar raised itself from the waters and created the first land, so too did Li'minar. This second world tree was smaller, although it still brought with it much land for which the newly created life could live.

    Creation of the Celestial Column
    Technological achievement

    Although it did not survive to this day, records tell of the Celestial Column. A device that supposedly allowed the gods to share their power with mortals. According to the surviving records, this was used as a way of bridging the understanding between gods and mortals.

    Destruction of the Celestial Column
    Disaster / Destruction

    After Li'sleith, the third world tree to rise from the ocean, had given all the elves magic outside of that given by the gods many of them had begun to summon helpers and make pacts with otherworldly creatures. These creatures soon brought change to Niko and taught the elves what good and evil were.

    The Rise of Li'gnax
    Geological / environmental event

    The rise of Li'gnax was a welcome reprieve for the gods in Niko. After the destruction of the Celestial Column, their power had vaned and they had become unable to control the battle around Niko. With the new world tree, the battle quickly shifted to this new land.

    Fall of Li'minar
    Geological / environmental event

    The fall of Li'minar could be heard all over E'ath. Every mortal, and immortal creature on E'ath quickly gathered around the now fallen world tree to see what had happened. In the end, no one was able to figure out what caused the catastrophe.

    Founding of Nisdain
    Founding

    As a reaction to Li'minar falling, many mortals began fearing for their survival. One of just three world trees had just fallen and taken a huge amount of land with it. Fearing a chain reaction a camp was founded with the express purpose of ensuring the disaster would not get worse or happen again.

    The End of the Great War

    After the war had raged for several hundred years under Li'gnax extraplanar creatures who fought suddenly found themselves falling ill, losing strength or outright dying. This caused a temporary truce among the extraplanar creatures while they relocated back to Niko.

    Nisdain Rises in Importance
    Religious event

    As the war ended and the outsiders started helping to stop the spread of the desert that had now appeared, Nisdain quickly found itself a centre of attention as many outsiders settled here in hopes of finding clues about the fall of Li'minar.

    Ousting of the Gods
    Population Migration / Travel

    As the land dried further and further many pleaded for the gods to help the extraplanar creatures in preserving it. However, the gods were still weary of anything to do with the outsiders and in the end, people outright rejected them and anger grew to the point where the gods had to either fight or flee.

    Outsiders leave the Wasteland

    Having realized that the state of Li'minar was stable and the expansion of the desert had stopped, many outsiders lost interest in the problem and instead preferred to use their resources elsewhere. So they spread out across E'ath and Nisdain, as well as the rest of the wasteland, lost many of its scholars and powerful individuals.

    Nisdain Falls in Importance

    After the creation of the Holy Order of Druids, they were quick to take their seat under Li'li'kar. From this, the old city grew and was renamed "The Holy City of E'ath". This new holy order eventually decided that the sect in Nisdain was against their interests and therefore they used their newly gained political power to pressure important people and funds away from the city in an effort to suppress the sect.

    Trade Increases With the Sea Creatures
    Financial Event

    As the years went by, the Holy Order of Druid only gained political power and with it their chokehold of Nisdain and by extension the rest of the wasteland. As the years passed and the situation became increasingly critical as the wasteland had relied on trade for food, the inhabitants of Niko and the rest of the wastelands began looking for food elsewhere. The Gulf of Li'minar quickly became a primary food source, but its unpredictable currents meant that boats could not fare far enough away from the coast to feed everyone. The solution eventually came in the form of diplomatic relations with aquatic races that had somehow made the gulf a home for themselves when no one believed the waters to be habitable.

    The Holy Order of Druids Digs for the Celestial Column
    Expedition

    Although the Holy Order of Druids had decided not to face the great evil that plagued the land after the rise of Li'sin Ar, some of them devised a plot to involve the gods. They believed that if the Celestial Column was dug up and repaired, the gods would have to either indulge in their power to the mortals or lose their faith. This in turn would put a target on the gods and possibly kill them.

    Aftermath of the Creation of the First Scar

    Although most races were in utter confusion after the defeat of the great evil and the creation of the First Scar. Despite this, the Holy Order of Druids were quick to recognize the impact of the first scar and the new danger it would impose on E'ath.

    The Gods Send Followers to the Wasteland
    Population Migration / Travel

    Although slower to act the gods too saw the threat of Li'minar dying. They had lost many followers in the war with the great evil and needed to gather more followers before they could once again act and influence the world. The first such influence came in the form of visions of revelations telling their most devout followers to go and help save Li'minar.

    The Great War of the Second Age Starts
    Military: War

    After the Prophecy of the Release of the Great Evil in 115 AoW the tension between gods and the Holy Order of Druids quickly flared up so when the gods began once again digging for the Celestial Column many feared for what would happen next. When the battle finally happened in 128 AoW many were quick to flee from the Wasteland of Li'minar. The battle however quickly subsided and moved elsewhere.

    Zemos Moves to the Wasteland

    Although Zemos did not have many followers it still made the Holy Order of Druids nervous when he moved to the Wasteland of Li'minar. According to records Zemos stated that he did not want to rock the balance but merely help mortals analyze the state of Li'minar.

    Puplication of the First Treatise of Li'minar
    Discovery, Scientific

    After more than 200 years Zemos published the First Treatise of Li'minar. In it, he wrote his findings of how the tree is decaying and methods he theorized perhaps could stop it.   While regarded as important by scholars, due to heavy backlash by the Holy Order of Druids, it has become all but impossible to implement any of the changes in current times.

    Li'minar Grows Once Again
    Scientific achievement

    Equipped with the knowledge of Zemos' studies, many now set out to apply it to Li'minar. After almost a century, this finally paid off and many of those who had worked on the project reported that the tree had once again begun to grow. Although scholars today are not able to measure the growth and no outsiders were able to verify the claims, many still agree that real progress was made.

    Holy Order of Druids Invade

    After almost a century of successes the Holy Order of Druids finally took action. This started by inspecting camps, cutting off trade routes and harassing people who tried to spread the news.   Eventually, this turned into a full-on invasion when they saw that these measures did not stop the news from spreading.

    Zemos is Expelled From the Wasteland

    As the invasion of the Wasteland of Li'minar progressed the Holy Order of Druids increasingly gained a strong foothold. In the end, they had almost complete control over the wasteland except for the area around Zemos' library. This was allowed to stand until the third archdruid died and the new archdruid wanted new achievement. The library then became their next target.
