Life, Death
Despite their large political influence and power, the Holy Order of Druids strained themselves beating back the qlippoth in the Inwater Marshes, and thus had lost most of their other battles in the AoW. When they realized what had happened to Li'minar while they had been otherwise busy they quickly moved to get it under control. However since the effort was led by a god, the Treaty of Godly Intervention made it difficult for them to do much. When this did not work, they broke the treaty and engaged in a battle that ultimately led to the death of Zemos and the creation of the shadow plains, now known as the Soulshade Expanse.
The death of Zemos had a strange effect on the land around him. As the first god who died, no one knew exactly what would happen and as his body disappeared the druid though everything was good. Their hopes were soon shattered as they saw the land around them become filled with shadows and their friends and enemies going insane by the minute. Scholars still debate if the accounts of the druids are true, but since they were the only ones who escaped the area with their minds intact it is impossible to disprove them without traversing the Soulshade Expanse.
