For many, the mysteries of temporal manipulation and potentiality are a dangerous and uncertain world, where the uninitiated and foolhardy invite calamity upon themselves, others and reality itself. For those who pursue it with an almost fanatical fervour, their minds are opened to the infinite possibilities of their alternate selves, who exist everywhere and always. Time and consequence drive the wheels of the cosmos, and chronomancers who dip their hands in the flow of the universe gain awareness beyond what their mortal shell could hold.
Wizards who delve deep into temporal manipulation expose themselves to powerful energies, irrevocably affecting the way the see and interact with the world. Some see shades of themselves doing mundane things around them—admiring scenery, reading books, inspecting their clothes—while others confuse events of the future for the past, infecting their language with uncertainties.
Chronocognition
2nd-level School of Chronomancy feature
Echoes of you from other presents subtly guide you. You add your Intelligence modifier to initiative rolls.
Tailored Relativity
2nd-level School of Chronomancy feature
By opening your mind to the world of potentiality, you can subconsciously influence the outcome of events around you. When a creature you see makes an attack roll, ability check or saving throw, you can force a reroll. The creature must use the new result.
Every time you use this feature beyond the first, you take 1d6 psychic damage for every two Character Levels you have. This damage ignores resistance and immunity.
Future Convergence
6th-level School of Chronomancy feature
At 6th level, your understanding of temporal energies advances. When you cast a spell, you may delay its effect for 1 round, leaving behind a stuttering temporal shadow. The spell resolves as if you were still standing at the original location.
You may increase the delay to 2 rounds at 11th-level, and 3 rounds at 16th-level.
Temporal Superposition
10th-level School of Chronomancy feature
You have learned to harness the potential of your alternate twins and potentially exist in several places at once. As a bonus action, you may teleport to any unoccupied space you have previously occupied sometime during your last move action. You may use this feature an amount of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. You regain all uses after finishing a long rest.
Closed Loop
14th-level School of Chronomancy feature
You have reached the understanding that time is analogous to space. Choose a spell of 5th level or lower with a casting time of 1 action or 1 bonus action. The effects of the spell occur with no action required and count you as the caster for the purposes of range, concentration and ability scores. You take your turn as normal.
After casting a spell this way, you cannot cast spells normally until you send the Looped spell back in time. The spell consumes a corresponding spell slot and has no effect, and you regain normal spellcasting.
If you use this feature while a spell is already Looped, you must make an Intelligence saving throw with a DC of 10 + the chosen spell's level + the total levels of all other spells Looped. If you fail, the spell takes no effect, you are stunned for 1 round and this feature is disabled until you complete a long rest.
