Placed Explosives

Placed explosives are often substantially stronger than their grenade or direct fire launcher counterparts but have a more narrow and specialized application.   Remote Explosives are a special class of explosives that require a Bonus Action to arm and an Action to detonate. They are frequently stronger than grenades or other explosives, but because of their special application require more effort to utilize in a combat scenario. Mines, on the other hand have no remote trigger but will trigger if certain conditions are met. You may throw the explosive as an action.   Unlike Grenades, some Placed Explosives deal additional damage in the inner blast radius.   Glitter Bomb   Rarity: Common   Properties
  • Weight: 1.0 lbs
  • Compact - Can be placed in enclosed spaces like boxes and have a trigger set, with the conditions declared by the user at the time of use. The Glitter Bomb occupies roughly 5 cubic inches.

  • On Failed Save: Affected target has Confusion and cannot take reactions, and for 3 of its turns, must subtract 1d6 from all ability checks and attack rolls. The affected target can make a Wisdom Saving throw to end the effects early at the end of each of its turns. The target is covered in glitter until they wash it off.
  • On Successful Save: No Confusion, just covered in glitter until they wash it off.
  • On Direct Hit: 1d6 Bludgeoning Damage if attack is successful, otherwise travels maximum distance past the target until it hits an obstacle
