Maliq

Maliq is a desert nation, once part of the ancient Marru Empire. An Absyunic crusade from the Lurian Empire, led by Saint Theodoros, fought to stabilize the country during the Marru Empire's collapse, setting it on a different course from the neighboring Seretis. Maliq is primarily Absyunic due to the crusade.
Maliq used to be ruled by a three-man council, until Prince Farik took the throne. Prince Farik was widely regarded as incompetent and unfit for the leadership role. Under his role, Maliq was invaded by the forces of Seretis. The invasion was stopped by a trio of adventurers, including a dwarf warlock, a tiefling sorceress, and a human cleric. In their wake, a mercenary army was hired to better defend the country. These mercenaries are condotierri from the Trading Coalition.
Prince Farik is long dead, and Prince Khayri rules the country now. Prince Khayri is said to have curbed the excesses of his predecessors and aims to build Maliq.
