Citta

Citta is one of the five leading cities of the Trading Coalition. Citta is a port city at the mouth of the Rio Cavallo.
Citta has long been a rival of Tezzano, with this rivalry even leading to war in the past. Despite this, the two city-states have a close economic relationship, with Citta providing a key port for the import and export of goods from Tezzano, while Tezzano is a key supplier of agricultural goods for Citta. Citta is clearly not as wealthy as other cities within the Coalition, especially Vatalli, and the debts of the state have been mounting. This mercantile underperformance has pushed the state closer to Tezzano, further deepening the relationship. Most recently, the heiress of Citta is set to marry the Duca of Tezzano, an act which would stabilize the city's finances, but would join the two cities in union.

Citta is primarily inhabited by Humans of Lurian descent as well as Halflings.

Government

Citta is ruled by a governing Duca with a council of wealthy merchants acting as advisors and responsible for the day to day governance of the city.
