Dural Island

Dural Island is a large island surrounded on all sides by a thick wall of fog. Ships are unable to sail through this fog, though it is not known why.
At the center of Dural Island is a massive tower. Nobody on the island knows why the tower is there, nor are they terribly keen to find out.
Scattered across the island are mysterious purple chests. If anybody knows what is inside even one of them, they are guaranteed to no longer be in the world of the living - the shadowy monsters that stalk anyone who pursue the chests make certain of that.
