Lacrisia (la-cri-sia)

Lacrissias are originaly built in Jaqanha, independent from clans to sucessfully complete firedancer operations or to cure firedancers. The idea and methods used atracted thousands of shamans from Xean, Haaqana, Skana and Jaqanha. After it suceeded, they got support(Materials, funding, people) from clans of Jaqanha. They started to tend the wounds of soldiers who fought in ritualistic wars of Jaqanha or the sicknesses developed in very old half-bloods and proteans. As it grew, they started to get more support and after some time, they had advanced r&r departments, an inner hierarchy and various branches working on different projects; They developed cures and vaccine like ailments which altered the metabolism of any people. After a while, countries from rest of the world, reached Jaqanhan's to built their own Lacrissia's. The most sucessfull ones were in Drina and especially in Naisha.
Most Lacrissias have their own inner workings. Most of the staff is trained, housed and tend by their own institutes. One can choose to leave it with some conditions and can join if tested. Also freelancers would sometimes be employed. Until one reached a CriShaman level, they would receive an education.
In a Lacrissia, there are 5 different(with exceptions in various places) class of worker.
1.Aide(Service Staff): They'd serve to patients and other staff. Their abilities were higher than most other service staff in other institutes. They'd be trained to sanitize in a very high standart and to use more specialised equipments than a regual cleaning staff. They'd also work as cooks who make special dishes for specific conditions and to produce high quality and healthy meals for entire staff and patients. Being an Aide in a Lacrissia was admirable in most cultures and countries. One could choose to remain as an Aide, but most would move higher up.
2.Healer(Doctor like): Tend to simple injuries, like wounds, cuts, scars, bruises... They don't make complex operations, but aide to LacriMasters in most cases. Healers can work in any branch and are responsible for recording the ailments they tended. They are easily replaceble, numerous and relatively easy to get into.
3.LacriMaster(Surgeon Like): Specialise on complex operations. Also work in designs of specialised rooms and labs, research, development, but they don't work on specialised operations like firedancer or void walker operations... They use alchemy methods and supplies to aide on designing of some extremely specialised rooms, surgery and development tools. They are trained in versalchemy and some cases xalchemy to determine some extreme sicknesses and injuries. They are also tasked to train others to become masters. They mostly don't work on simple injuries, but if need be, they are known to aide healers.
4.CriShamans(Anesthesiologist like): Work on extremely specialised operations and aide masters in complex operations. They also anesthetise and brings patients body state to a specific, required state. They can alter ones metabolism, heart rate, blood filtration and pumping, breathing patterns, neuron speed, signal speeds in tendoms... If one wishes to be Lacrishaman, they are trained and treated like they know nothing. Once one became a LacriShaman, they are required to work as one for a specific period of time.
5.Siantha(Academics, Professors, Grandlacrimasters and Managers): They were the absolute peak of the Lacrissia hierarchy; Had the highest authority in any room they enter. They'd work on designing rooms and equipments, long term studies, researches, experiments and many others. A Siantha could leave voluntarily with some conditions or could only fired by unanimous vote from other Sianthas. They'd be the heads of branches and lead experiments, constructions, designs and various other project. Siantha's were one of the most respected occupation in the world. To be a Siantha, one had to become a LacriMaster, CriShaman; Have profound knowledge in Versalchemy, Decermism, JindAlchemy, LinkAlchemy and one or more Occupational alchemy types.

Purpose / Function

Built for Firedancer operations where ones bone would be swapped with a special kind of rune; But become general hospitals, research labs, academies... Also could have additional purposes dependant of its location;  For example, in Drinna they also functioned as soup kitchens, homeless shelter, insane asylum and treatment center.
In Xean they also functioned as meditation centers, animal hospital and treatment centers. Some as hotels.
In Naisha they also functioned as messenger posts, military posts, naturalist centers, animal sanctions and venturer asylums.

Alterations

Original Lacrissia were built as specialised domes. It's center would be a place to get ready and plan the operations and for preliminary examinations of a would be firedancer, it's underground rooms would be used for surgery. After it's sucess, the main dome was altered into a healer hall and was started use as examination place for any wounded person. At this point there were only Crishamans and aides
First addition was a smaller dome connected to the main one which acted as pre and post operation area for firedancers, while the main dome became more generalised, but also treated firedancers who were injured. Because of this the healer class was formed in order to tend to the general population. 
Yet at this point there were no mobility in the hierarchy. In order to create mobility and perform complex operations, an academy dome was added, ere the lacrimaster class were formed. At this point, anyone could move to any class through education, determination and work. 
But at this point, Lacrissias started to loose money because of failiure to treat diseases of very wealthy whom would be charged higher than most others. This pushed the institute to take a risk and build a research dome. This dome attracted investments which allowed them to remain afloat. 
But the new problem was the size of the complex. It's organization and purpose became muddled, the money was misorganized from time to time. In order to organize they contacted the Grandmasters guild who agreed to give them a group of grandmasters who would manage the whole complex. Siantha's were formed and proved brilliant. The money was very well managed, the customers were charged correctly, the researches proved usefull.
And development dome was constructed in order to pave the way for researchers and new treatment techniques. After this, Lacrissia didn't only helped people, but also started to became incredibly profitable. It reached its final form of university hospital.

Architecture

Jaqanha build dome like wide central structures with high roofs. Every part was covered in Lime tar. It stored natural lights and made its floors, roofs and walls to emit a constant, calming light and prevented shadows to form in the structure. They also used Nyth tree barks in its mold to create a mild calming and concentrative effect in its walls to prevent firedancers to burst into flames. They built operation rooms under the central structure in order to isolate and control the environment which concentrated the domes effects. Their uniforms, the structure, equipments, any piece of clothing and every other material is fireproof.
The central dome was surrounded with a ring like a tall, deckered structure which included patient rooms, cafeteria, staff rooms and various other service rooms.
After they received more funding, they started to construct other domes in various other locations with different interior designs and room layouts to function as labs, libraries, archives, morgues... Every dome was built as self-sufficent.
When the rest of the world started to copy Lacrissias, they used the same architectures with minor alterations or extentions. 
Drinan's discovered techniquest to use less materials to get similar results. It's efficiency rise to a point where they didn't needed to import any material in order to build Drissias. 
In Xean availibilty of Nyth trees and alternative materials to lime tar, allowed them to build largest Lacras' in the world. Also the most amount was built in Xean.
Naishan Alchemy academy supported the construction of Naissians. This resulted them to built the most advance type of Lacrissia in the world. They also started to build smaller ones in strategic places and linked them with a central one via techniques used to make Void walkers. Naissias started to pop up every part of the vast lands of Naisha, with techniques to carry critical patients from one place to another in very short times. They specialised some void walkers to help at this process.

History

A very sucessfull and wealthy Tianan merchant named Yuan Dessa saw an opportunity in Jaqanha. Their ritualistic wars among clans, created a need for large treatment centers. She spent decades to convince Court of Jaqua. Then she hired a Xeanite structural alchemy company (Per-Huddah Construction), a Naishan Welchemy company (Tauren Wellchemy) and a Land Alchemy company (Atlan Faultists) to build Lacrissias. She decided Lacrissias to use a method born from oblique market form(Developed in Ard'Rugh, Naisha) meaning charging customers dependant on their total wealth and policed by local government and military. The results was extremely sucessfull. Lacrissias was declared neutral zones(Meaning it is illegal to fight in its general area) by Court of Jaqua and clans started to fund them. From there on, they became gold standarts as treatment centers.

Tourism

Jaqanhan Lacrissias didn't accepted any tourist or tour group. But they'd order small models and send some of their staff to promote the institute.
Some Xeanite Lacrissias or Lacras' were built in near natural wonders or touristic places and acted as hotels. They become more like resorts. But others still kept their purposes.
Drinans sheltered outsiders, but not in a specifically great condition.
Naisha used them as bases for natural tours both for touristic and scientific purposes.
