Isara Marquez
Isara Marquez, and she says that name like of course you'd have heard of her. Yves has, in fact; a fashionable rebel of an architect, a 19-year-old with a penchant for glitzy masks, coats with plunging necklines and no shirts underneath, spiked steel-toed boots, and a surplus of patterned belts. She is, by all accounts, an absolutely brilliant engineer, and maybe the only one of any age to be a tabloid sensation.
The party first heard of Marquez during the Casing The Joint section of Bast's heist of the Seventh Dawn, where they learned that she is one of the ship's two designers (along with Franz Alberich), and her work on the Luminous Engine is what made the ship able to enter Alterna unimpeded. When the party finally encountered Marquez in Koehnta, she lived up to expectations. After confirming they weren't involved with the Seventh Dawn itself, Marquez invited herself on, adding Luca Ficarra on with her as a signing bonus.
Marquez is a nineteen-year-old human woman, with short black hair splashed through with pink and purple. She favors counterculture clothing, most recently wearing a pinstriped vest that warrants a shirt underneath yet lacks a shirt underneath, black hiphugger jeans with a skull-festooned belt slung low on her hips, one fingerless glove, and three-inch heeled boots. She has immediately won Yves's adoration and respect, and they were trading fashion tips within minutes of being formally introduced.
One (106) - Marquez's adoptive parents, Didier and Tanzani Marquez, are well-respected scholars, though their focus is in history versus the applied sciences like Isara's own. The Marquezes still live in Turon.
Two (108) - She is named for her godmother, Celadon Isara Dural.
Three (110) - Isara's teenage rebellion began alongside Doctor Dural's departure from the Marquez-led research team, though the paths of the two Isaras did not cross beyond the airship design. Isara Marquez's idea of teenaged rebellion was to become one of the world's greatest engineers instead of one of the world's greatest historians, because children of luxury defy description.
Four (115) - Isara fervently believes that it is possible to build a machine to travel through time, and is working on blueprints to do that very thing.
