Apocynthion Lunakrei Tolvani the Third

"Apocynthion Lunakrei Tolvani -- the Third," he adds for effect, dipping into a bow. "We pledge our lives to our captain and our ship, at least until the third act, when due to shortages we will be switching to the role of dastardly villains with the appropriate costume change."   Apocynthion -- Apoc (Ay-pock) for short, is a member of the Starfall's crew, having joined alongside the rest of Linnet's former theater crew, the Theater of the Untranslatable. He is romantically involved, or at least affectionately entangled, with Rahel Sutter. In his short time aboard the ship, he has made sure to know where the spotlight is, and as befitting a lead actor, he attempts to steer it onto himself any time he's able.   He appears to be an ice or wind sylph, with crystalline-blue skin and short white hair that always threatens to fall in front of his eyes. He favors a green vest with a yellow scarf, gray jeans, and black boots with silver ribbons tied around the tops. Apoc speaks with his entire body, favoring very expressive motions. There is nothing he can say that cannot be helped with a flick of the wrist or a shift of the hips, and he moves as if he is always on stage. Every act is just a little bit larger than life.   Apoc has some experience on airships, having "flown [his] own ship before," and he has floated between all of the Operations and Logistics stations, serving with talent anywhere he goes.

INTEL

  • First (Bast, 0): Apoc's claim to have first met Rahel Sutter on "a star-crossed night" is the truth. The two met when Bjrn came down ill before a performance two months ago. Apoc said Cavaliers of Caerwyn was his favorite play, launched unprompted into the second act monologue, and signed on to salvage that night's performance. The crew has considered him a lucky charm ever since.
  • Second (????, 0): Apoc has not given any consistent information about his own ship, deflecting with a number of increasingly ludicrous and patently impossible stories, including that it sank beneath the clouds below the sky below the ground, that it became self-aware and travels the world as The Ship Of Dreams, that he lost it in a game of Triple Triad in a trio's game on the Triad, that he broke it apart into five separate pieces and hid it throughout Ducorde because it was too powerful for mortals to hold, and that he left it on the moon. Jasper is keeping the books on what happened to Apoc's ship, with "the other girl's dad took it back" being the current leader.
  • Third (Yves, 30): There are no records of an Apocynthion Lunakrei Tolvani the Second -- or the First -- in any records the Arbiters of Truth have found. For that matter, the Third also makes zero appearances.
  • Fourth (Yves, 33): Every night he goes to the bow of the ship and looks up at the sky for ten minutes, at which point he says some sort of prayer and then heads to bed. According to Rahel, he did this while with the Theater of the Untranslatable, and he does so at the same time each night. This doesn't match any known rituals regarding the Twelve.
