Mental characteristics

Accomplishments & Achievements

Silas was a profession-defining entrepreneur, in terms of carving out a new path for goods to reach the market from. His techniques for navigating Zul's landscape and the obstacles and challenges it throws to people remain relevant to current travellers.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Silas was always drawn to the areas known about but about which little was known. He would often become lost as a child after wandering into whatever location he thought was most off-limits to him, and he was constantly told that only luck brought him back home safely each time. Of course, telling a halfling not to rely on luck is like telling a wizard not to rely on magic. Some will listen, but just as many will double down. Silas fell into the latter camp, greatly enjoying any chance he had to prove someone else wrong about something.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Silas was an uncanny navigator, developing a sense of direction from a young age that carried him throughout his career. Even in the seemingly arbitrary landscapes of Zul, Silas was able to find paths to and from his desired destination and return home safely time after time.   Despite running a storefront for many years, Silas never really picked up a knack for salesmanship. His success in the market came down only to the fact that he was one of a very select few with access to the magical items from Zul — many of which were products that could practically sell themselves.
