5: Elivators, Hotel Heists ,and Stripograms
General Summary
- The party woke up (7 days left)
- The party decided to switch up the plan on the dm
- Half the party would go the Diguider Building to investigate the 10th floor where the snipers took place
- Half would go investigate and gather info on Saiva Seji
- After more discussion the party decided to all go to the Diguider building.
- The party arrived there and began to speak to the Receptionist there Munsie Khudras
- Gaelin asked to get access to the 10th floor.
- Munsie opened the stairs and informed them that the elevator broke down 2 days ago
- The party began flirting with her.
- almost everyone failed, but she gave her number to Gaelin in case he needed it for the investigation
- The party got the name of the regular repairmen : "Gioltras repairs"
- The party went to the 8th floor at differing paces due to athletic capability's
- The party began to speak to the receptionist Nushala at the Risshaven Power Company (R.P.C.)
- Gaelin used his police status to ask for access
- Nushala Went to get her boss Mr. Kinter offering some candy from the candy jar (Jolly ranchers equivalent)
- The party takes some. except Valentino who took the whole bowl
- Weiss thinking quickly used minor illusion to make it look like the bowl was still full
- Nushala returned with their boss Mr. Kinter a full orc who wears a dress shirt that is probably too small for him
- Mr. Kinter helped the party onto the 10th floor.
- Mr. Kinter told the floor that the police are here to investigate security for new years
- Gaelin rolled really well to investigate the floor
- The party decided to investigate the broken elevator instead
- Asamel checked the cable and tried to cut it a bit. it seems the cable was still sturdy
- Lola checked for illusions on the elevator and found nothing
- Gaelin checked the inside of the elevator and found a sapphire hidden on one of the side panels of the interior.
- Lola found that the gem had runes on it and was the component of a spell that summons an object if the gem is crushed
- They saved crushing it till later
- Asamel Weiss and Valentino went to investigate the cable system at the top of the elevator.
- After some investigation they found one of the screws was illusionary
- They used Prestidigitation and made a screw that fit the hole.
- The elevator started back up, the lights in the shaft lit up
- The screw disappeared after a round. and the elevator stopped, now displaying a Structural instability error message as opposed to the overloaded weight that was displayed previously
- The party had a shouting match across 40+ floors echoing
- Asamel flew down to get Lola to help investigate. and again after to get a pen to stick in the hole
- They weren't able to find anything more in the elevator
- Gaelin searched the Break room and found a chair that is almost never moved was moved.
- He figured out the angles the snipers had to take to take out the mayor and the chief of police.
- The party then went to the 35th floor of the Diguider Building to investigate security footage.
- After some persuasion the guard there they got access to the day the elevators went down
- as the security cameras couldn't see the elevators the party had to figure out who of the 3 figures was the problem
- They figured the person was a Orange skinned Lizardfolk wearing 3 coats.
- The Lizardfolk got off on floor 5, a convenience store/fast food chain location Snake oil fries
- The party trudged down to that floor.
- They began asking a gnome woman some questions..... sheee was not helpful
- Blalki kept asking for a lawyer after Gaelin told her he was police
- Valentino insulted her
- Lola tried to comfort her
- It worked a bit as she told the party she got paid in 100's for something that was rather cheap. and told the lizard that the nearest hotel was: The Hotel Risshaven
- Lola and her exchanged some insults as she felt Lola was patronizing her.
- The Party grabbed lunch at the cheaper fast food restaurant, Gaelin explicitly getting a Royal with cheese.
- Lola investigated the stairway unable to find anything
- Lola got changed before going to the hotel Risshaven
- If you are reading this buckle up things are about to get chaotic
- The Party arrived at the hotel Risshaven
- This place is super ritzy to the point of gawdyness
- The party met the employee at the front desk Hori. a well dressed Earth Gensai with a automatic prestidigitation built into his suit
- Gaelin used his R.I.A. Badge and asked to see his manager ,after Hori told them they couldn't help them into a guests room
- Hori brought out his manager Watihana. a water Gensai
- The party asked to speak privately.
- The party Watihana and Hori all went into the strong box room used for guests.
- Gaelin asked if they could get the lizardfolk's room number.
- At this time....
- Valentino snuck away inside the room with the intent to steal
- and Lola began perusing the guest book that was unattended
- Valentino rolled high so he hid well enough that Gaelin couldn't find him
- Lola successfully found the lizardfolk's name: Atszu in room 473 and that he payed in cash
- Lola hoped back into the conversation as Watihana gave Gaelin the room number. and asked him to not do anything, and not tell anyone that he gave him the number.
- *Cue its always sunny theme* "The gang doesn't do that"
- The Party tried to find Valentino but figured after not finding him that he went out for a smoke
- The party minus Valentino headed up to room 473
- Lola asked everyone to stay back
- She began stripping down to her underwear, and knocked on Atszu's door.
- He opened the door gun in hand and in broken common asked what she was doing there
- She responded by saying she was a dancer courtesy of the hotel
- He looked her up and down and said he wasn't interested given she is human shaped and he is probably you know into people of his own race.
- Lola did not take that rejection well.
- She began kicking down the door.
- He kept insisting he did not want a dance
- The party minus Gaelin and Valentino rushed to the door
- Asamel went BA BOOM BOOM BAM and Made the door fling open
- Atszu very confused at this point was even further confused when Weiss appeared disguised as a very sexy Lizardfolk woman (23 on performance)
- He seemed OK with this unaware that this was not normal as far as U.P.K. traditions for dancers. He now was ok with the dance from Weiss
- Gaelin said fuck this chaos i'm out and headed down to the lobby to transform into a black haired human woman in Gaelin's suit.
- Asamel displayed his carpentry skills and put the door back on its hinges. and Atszu complemented him on his work
- Weiss began spinning her gun in one of her regular mannerism's. Atszu thinking this also part of the tradition began spinning his own.
- He did not do well at that.
- He accidentally shot himself in the chest. alerting the security. and the rest of the floor
- Lola went out in an attempt to calm the people now coming out of their rooms
- Including a air Gensai and a lightning Gensai in particular
- She did well at getting the people to head back in
- Security on the lobby floor began to move away towards the 4th floor
- At this point Valentino began his stealing.
- Asamel gave the clumsy Lizardfolk 2 hp.
- Weiss helped him up and began asking questions
- Lola went and to the Gensai room and was unable to get them to come out.
- Atszu began to realize they were not here to give him a dance
- He asked to use the bathroom and went in took a piss then slammed the door
- He resisted Asamel's command to not slam the door
- Imitative started.
- Lola hid in the supply room faking being a guest
- Atszu began to burrow through the wall of the bathroom. Weiss tried to flank into the room he was going into and found no entrance but did find 2 duffel bags full of money, Asamel broke down another door.
- Atszu finished burrowing through and placed a dresser over the hole. Weiss came back to the room, Asamel tries to get his way through pushing the dresser out of the way, after hearing more burrowing
- Lola went down to the lobby after the guards said that she should
- Valentino still stealing stuff. But at this time as to make sure no one else can get in he gunks up the keyhole of the strongbox room using the stolen candy
- Atszu finished burrowing down into the next room after grabbing a duffel bag filled with something unknown, falling down into a room. Asamel followed suite, Weiss got into the hidden room
- The security reaches room 473's door
- Atszu barely conscious takes some fall damage getting him to 1 hp
- He runs to the other side of the room.
- An old lady looking out the window. notably is shocked as a Lizardfolk, Asamel and Weiss all crash into her room
- Weiss catches up to Atszu and knocks him out.
- Lola meets Gaelin down at the lobby and they have some nice tea
- Asamel and Weiss convince the old woman that they are the priest and entertainment from the hotel.
- One of the guards fall through the hole in the ground that was covered by Weisses minor illusion
- Asamel and Weiss trade the bags and Atszu leaving Asamel with 2 duffelbags.
- At this point Valentino is realizing that he locked himself in. *curb your enthusiasm plays*
- Asamel walks out onto the third floor with the 2 bags as he retracts his wings
- Weiss opens the window and on the way down disguises herself as a different Lizardfolk.
- Valentino after disguising himself as a woman and robbing 18 strong boxes sets a fire off inside the room hes in and blows the lock. successfully avoiding the securitys attention in the chaos.
- Gaelin and Lola walk out in need of a drink.
- Weiss hides in a dumpster with the unconscious Atszu , she is almost discovered but the guards roll low.
- Asamel successfully headed to the prides perch.
- Gaelin and Lola successfully headed to the prides perch
- Valentino amazingly successfully headed back to the prides perch
- Weiss makes it back to the prides perch.
- Everyone had a well needed drink
- The party stored Atszu in Asamels room.
- The Party crushed the gem in Asamels room. revealing its contents to be 4 racks of sniper rifles totaling in 50 rifles in total.
