26: So that happened.

General Summary

• The Party began with retrieving the carpet and the desk inside the Devotions lair
• Then proceeded to have someone watch over the carpet only to have that person subsequently take it
• They brought the desk into Keisukes temporary dorm room.
• During this moving process they were ambushed and debriefed by the woman who charged them to find the missing people and deal with the threat
• They gave the woman a through recount of what happened. where they were complement on their dedication to clearing out what could be perceived as the root of the problem not just the symptoms
• They were informed that in 2 days time they would receive a letter containing their payment.
• Keisuke and the party decided to sell the desk at The Snakeskin Pawn.
• Ruyin showed them his new stock. which included some very rare iun stones.
• There they found some magical items , buying a alchemy jug, and 3 immovable rods.
• Upon doing so they departed. wai9ting out the 2 days in their own fashion.
• At the morning of this the party received a letter each containing 10 plat each and an invitation to a formal event to take place in a days time. Under the bell tower.
• The party gathered their formal wear and arrived at the event.
• They descended the ladder to find a banquet table , with an array of food. and the centerpiece was one of the tall creatures from the mist.
• The rest of the room is a hexagonal black stone lined chamber. small juts of obsidian from each corner sprout from the ground until reaching the centerpiece of a psudomumified corpse stretched across an X shaped cross. all of the banquets tables and people give it a 15 foot berth.
•  They investigated further finding its label under ' the new recruits'
• Further checks lead them to realize this was Lolas counterpart.
• Not enjoying the idea of eating that thing the party began panicking.
• They asked an attendee some questions about the event. and the more they talked about not wanting to eat that the more nervous the attendee became.
• Lola decided to enter the 15 foot radius. when she did she saw everyone staring at her unmoving and the mummy in the center staring at her as well.
• Lola started an identify which started to make her go insane. she stopped before it was too late
• Returning from the radius Lola is the only one who experienced any of that. To the rest of the party it appeared as if she never left.
• At this point Lola and Keisuke both decided to dispel the magic surrounding the man.
• With some really high rolls they were able to do so. Which was probably not a good thing
• The two of them now saw what they saw within the  radius even when they were outside of it. with no way of returning.
• Naturally this panicked them.
• Gaelin not seeing a way out played a trump card. trying to persuade the  demon god Yeenoghu. with the location of his counterpart
• Yeenoghu appeared  in the room with  Lola and Keisuke encompassing the entirety of it
• He began tracing a pentagram in the center of the room which fell away to a portal to hell
• He urged everyone including Gaelin to enter the portal.
• After entering the party found themselves in the 8th circle of hell as Yeenoghu left them there
