Xanthe Caliban
Bathed in moonlight from his seated position atop a dais and beneath a large statue of Caliban, the High Oracle presides over all religious affairs and serves as the mouthpiece of Caliban. The current High Oracle is Xanthe Caliban, the eldest of the Gold Dragon Clans primary lineage who was gifted with prophetic abilities at a young age. Although now in his late forties, Xanthe still bears a brilliance to him. He wears ornate blue robes lined with silver and adorned with a mixture of gold and moonstone jewelry to convey his position as well as his status amidst the Gold Dragon Clan.
Despite the stern disposition he may put on, Xanthe is plagued by the silence he has received from the god he has served for nearly 4 decades. Why has Caliban stopped speaking to him? Although his niece would have him support her running for the High Council seat, this is too large of a political affair for Xanthe to issue uninspired guidance. The High Oracle has found himself caught between a rock and a hard place. Commit horrible blasphemy by speaking words on behalf of Caliban when they are not the god of fate's words at all? Or risk revealing his position and tarnishing the standing of the Gold Dragon Clan, dragging his brother and niece to potential ruin?
Known Familial Relationships: Xanthe is brother to Parvathian the Gold, and the uncle of Cyra of the Gold Dragon Clan.
