The One
At the far end of a path of levitating stone, there is a floating platform decorated with the carved likeness of a large, armored serpent poised to bit down on its own tail. Seated upon the large floating dais is an incredibly large, towering humanoid form. They sit perfectly still and regal, legs crossed and hands resting on their knees. Their skin is like the swirling galaxies beyond with portions adorned with glowing patterns of interlocking lines. Although their form is humanoid, their face lacks all the defining features – no eyes, no mouth no nose... just an illusion of these features. From the swirling galaxies beyond, a giant armored form takes shape, writhing and swirling in the space directly behind The One. After a moment, it solidifies into an ouroboros, but its underside retains the same Galaxy-like pattern as The One's skin. Drawing nearer, their sheer size is apparent. The One looks down upon all.
The One remains perfectly still no matter who speaks to them or what is said. If it were not for the gentle, rolling movement of their cloak and the swirling ouroboros beyond, The One would seem like an unmoving statue entirely. If they are capable of movement, then they choose not to move. They do not even incline their head down to look at whoever is speaking with them.
As a Greater Deity of Creation, The One possesses the ability to create Life. Or, more specifically, to create souls. They create the world of Dremora, crafting it from nothing and imbuing it with life. Dremora is not the first world they have created... nor will it be their last. In their long lifespan, The One has determined that the worst thing in the universe is not pain, sorrow, tragedy, loss, or cruelty... No, the worst thing in the universe is boredom. The way to The One's heart – if they ever even had one – is not through good deeds or pilgrimages, but through the promise of entertainment, no matter the cost. Dremora has, thus far, proven to be entertaining. Hence, they have allowed the continent to persist even after... hm. Continue to entertain... and perhaps The One will permit your continued existence!
As Karen so eloquently put it:
They like to shake the snow globe and watch it every now and then.
