The Proof is in the Plant
Just this past week, the mystery of Prince Ethan's death came to a head. Meet the out-of-town adventurers who took on the daunting task of finding the Prince's killer: Lyrra, with her bow, Thiol, with his shield and counterspell, Menti, with his pet robot, Solana, with her fire that she shoots at people and things, and Klover, who speaks with animals and plants and occasionally heals. We had the opportunity to get the inside scoop from Klover to find out how these folks weren't fooled by the treasonous Moonfalls' farce. When asked how he felt about this investigation, Klover said it was "kinda exciting! Really different from taking care of flowers."
Maybe not entirely, different, though. It all started with a fern in the Prince's office. This fern told our heroes that a mech with a specific design on its arm blasted the Prince. This design led to the rentable mech, which was recently destroyed in this week's arson disaster. These brilliant detectives also used scent to follow the smell of guilt, which led them to the treacherous Moonfalls' servant, Edward. He is in custody and unable to comment at this time. The adventurers visited places that the insidious Moonfalls claimed to visit during the time of the crime. But when they inquired about their attendance, the timelines given by the businesses didn't line up with the timelines given by the dastardly Moonfalls.
King Leon has also had an active role in taking care of the situation. "The King has been very generous with us," Klover said. The reward from the crown was only the beginning. On the night of the 43rd, the King had to issue an emergency order to stop a proposition put forth by the House of Lords. This proposition was just another facet of the Moonfalls' betrayal.
When the investigators went to confront the suspects, the two-faced Moonfalls showed their true colors by attacking the investigators with a suit of armor, even when Klover sat down to peacefully play the piano. Their violence continued when the adventurers followed the shifty Moonfalls underground, as more followers tried to kill the detectives who only sought the truth. Eventually, through some tactical maneuvering, the Moonfalls were cornered, and in a last ditch they tried to make traitors of the investigators as well by begging to be let go. They were only able to escape because one of the Demons from below came into the area and attacked everyone - the result of an unguarded underground.
The Moonfalls are still at large, and the King has put out offers of rewards for their arrest. He's placed Lord Lestat in charge of the underground operations since the last sighting was in the Darkweavers region, and has Lady Foroga on standby in case the Brotherhood of Earth half needs to be searched.
