Unicorn Root

Unicorn root is a long, flowering plant that goes by many folk names, including ague, colicroot, crow corn, starwort, star root, blazing star, and white star grass. Much like its namesake, unicorn root is rumoured to be able to identify and purify evil at work. In the right hands it makes for a powerful relaxant, but a trend has developed that has led to its use as a legal recreational narcotic.
Unicorn root grows in swampy or otherwise wet areas, including along the seashore.

Refinement

The root of the flowering plant should be isolated and dried for it to be used effectively.

Manufacturing & Products

Alchemists that understand unicorn root can isolate its calming properties to serve as an anaesthetic, as well as refining its intoxicating properties to brew psychedelics for mystics longing to glimpse the future.
