Paralytic Poison
Paralytic poison is a blue wolfsbane-based toxin which renders the recipient paralysed and helpless. The poison must be administered straight to the bloodstream, typically via injury from a poisoned weapon.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
A creature that sustains damage from a weapon laced with paralytic poison suffers the following effect:
- Paralysis for 1d4 minutes
Manufacturing process
Dried wolfsbane is chopped up and either sewn into a porous bag or gathered into an infuser. The bag or infuser is then steeped in boiling water, with the temperature carefully controlled by a sandbath.
History
This poison gained its fame as a tool for hunters to bring down big game.
Significance
Paralytic poison sales decreased considerably following the discovery of Queen of Poison. If it were not for the fact that Queen of Poison is often produced as a byproduct, rather than intentionally, paralytic poison would probably be rendered obsolete.
