Manufacturing process
Foxtail, wheat, canegrass, rice, shindagger, or manioc are placed in water and fermented into alcohol. 10 measures of bog myrtle leaves or candleberries, 8 measures of naughty man, 6 measures of bloodwort, 2 measures of chopped ginger root, 1 measure of juniper leaves, and 1 measure of gin berries are placed in the resulting alcohol to infuse. Any sediment is strained out before drinking.
History
Berserker's beer was accidentally discovered when a maiden priestess tried to improve the taste of bog beer by including an array of other botanicals. The result was a sudden, violent outburst that led to some severe injuries. Historians cannot agree on whether the priestess was a Sea Maiden or Nymph Maiden; both sects reject the notion that it was one of their order, but both claim ownership over the right to make bog beer the traditional way.
