The directo is an instrument to guide and direct the incesion knife, in enlarging a wound when you are near any veins or arteries. The Ornamental ends can be used for a variety of different purposes, the simplest being to provide a way to hold the instrument, or to serve as a spoon to contain a powder to sprinkle caustics upon wounds or uclers, or even for specific surgeries.
