Sunder

Weapons with the sunder ability are especially deadly to armor, after striking a target and dealing damage alos deal 1d5 damage to their armor, or shield, or other defenses until the target can get it repaired. Each strike deals a further 1d5 damage until item is destroyed or repaired. Damage done to defensive items also remove their rating. So a metal Breastplate of +8 defense after taking 4 sundering damage, would only have a defensive rating of +4 until it was repaired. If the breastplate took another 4 sundering damage it would be considered destroyed or useless until it could be repaired or remade.
