This metalic looks to be liquid silver, as it pours and pools. It is heavier then water and usually kept in Iron or glass containers as it can seep into woods and leathers.
This magical substance is used in various potions to prolong life, it is used in the casting of grand healing majics, and is the lifeblood of automata as it is poured into their veins upon creation. Quicksilver is also used in the transmutation of baser metals into gold, but as the exact mixture has been lost to ancient times many alchemists have sought to be the first to rediscover the tincture to gold.
