Kikko
An armor of small iron hexagon shaped plates linked together then riveted to a leather backing. The name kikko refers to the shell of a tortoise from the design of the hexagon plates. Some forms of Kikko armor were covered in silk to cover the armor and allow for the bright patterns or designs to split up clans for use in identification during war.
