These rodents grow to a size of around 8 inches from nose to rear with a long thin tail hairy tail of around 10 inches. Thir back legs are long and springy capable of flinging the jerboafar distances to escape predators. Living in high desert and lowland sshrubbery tey tend to sleep in burrows during the day and are more active at night.
