Fools Gold

This lusterous yellow metal is often mistaken for gold when mined, until at which point enough of it is exposed showing it's cube cyrstaline structure, revealing it for what it is.
Although not gold, Fools Gold is still quite useful, it is often used as a stricker for wheelocks and other firearms. It can be used against steel as a firestarting stone.
It can also be heaped into large piles with a catch basin underneath as it weathers during heap leaching. Over long periods of time as it is leached it starts to create sulfuric acid in it's run off which can be caught in containers and gathered for it's various chemical and industrial uses.
