Casting Spells

With the knowledge of spells comes the ability to cast them, drawing on the forces of the cosmos, internal powers, and raw components.   In order to cast the spell a Material Component must be sacrificed to empower the spell. This Component will be listed on each spell. You may cast the spell as long as you have the material component in order to cast the spell, a failed Spell Check does not use up the Item, but it does use up the time, meaning a failed casting will use up that half action.   To cast the spell you need to do a Spell Check: this is a Soul Test where you roll a 1d100, or Percentage Dice, and try to roll under the Soul Stat, plus or minus any bonuses.   There are things that effect spell casting, such as being in the middle of combat, being in hazardous conditions, underwater, spell foci, standing on ley linds, and many more.   Hazardous conditions can give you a negative to Soul Tests to cast magic.  
  Favourable conditions can cause bonuses to you Soul Tests for casting
