Burnt Amythest
This rare color of gem is found in quartz veins, it ranges from a smoky light yellow to reds or even browns. When found naturally it has a light yellow almost smokey color, but the gemstone can also be created by "cooking" amethyst to a red or yellowish brown color, artificially raising the price of the amethyst. This can also result in shattering the stone in explosive fragmentation so the process is usually left to more skilled gem workers, but sometimes those without the skill or money try and create the Citrine gem, with explosive consequences.
