a 10 foot tall stalk with large wavy leaves, ththe spikey bulbous flowers are a bright purple off of a spikey green bulb.

The roots are edible when cooked. They are crisp and sweet, with a mild pungdnt flavour. The leaf stalks can be peeled and eaten raw or cooked.
The Powdered seeds can be used as treatment for sore throat and symptoms of common colds.
