Box Wagons

These large frieght wagons were made to attach into trains to haul more goods between settlements with less teamsters to pay. Each wagon was made to carry 10 tons of ore or goods each, making long trains of animals needed to pull the weights, which gave the box wagons the nickname 20 Mule Teams. These large wood and iron boxes are reinforced to protect both the heavy weights inside, and the wagon it'self from the jostling of ores and frieght as it ponders along.
The rear wheels are around 7ft tall and ringed with an inch of iron. The boxes themselves are built on a solid frame of heavy oak with Iron bands, sitting at 16ft long and 6ft deep and wieghted about 8000lbs empty. Their rugged construction means that they can survive heavy rough terrain and even bandit attack. Most Trains were Three long, with the Ore piled in the first, and the second being the tender full of food and provisions for the team, while the last one was a specialized tank full of water capable of carrying 1200 gallons of liquid for watering the draft animals and persons over long trips.
