Death & Afterlife

In the course of roleplaying on Dragonball: Infinity you may very well find yourself facing many life or death situations, but the RP staff encourages you to be 'heroic' and overcome the odds whenever possible. Dying in roleplay is a very complicated process that involves a great deal of Admin interaction. Similar to the spirits forced to wait in line outside Yemma's check-in station, you may have to simply wait your turn before the powers of the Afterlife have time to decide what is to be done with you. For this reason we encourage players do everything possible to NOT kill fellow roleplayers unless it is demanded by the narrative. There are numerous ways to explain why you grant mercy to another player, why they might simply escape your wrath, or why you might consider them defeated when they still possess the smallest sliver of energy in order to crawl out from under hell's gate and make a recovery.   If you do perish in Roleplay, there are a few things you should know: Unless given express permission, you are not allowed to roleplay any of the 'dieties' of the Afterlife. You should write a personal gnote to the admin staff requesting to be judged by Yemma, and only with the permission of an Admin can you return to the mortal world.   Below is a list of the cosmic deities. If you encounter one of the named characters below, tread carefully. While they might not be as formidible in terms of strength, and power as yourself, their station grants them abilities far beyond any mortal. The position of 'Kai' is not restricted to those of the Kaio race, nor is their alignment or temperments a factor into whether they may occupy the position. All that is required is that they are capable of defending their quadrant from threats, and overseeing the prosperity of the living beings in their hemisphere of the universe.

GOD OF DESTRUCTION -- Kaon

The mysterious being known as Kaon was the first mortal to achieve ultimate power, and receive a rank above even the Kais as a 'God of Destruction' whose purpose is simply to act as the final safeguard against the threats of the universe. Should a power, or entity, threaten the cosmos as a whole, Kaon is unleashed to 'elminate' it without regard for whatever else is destroyed in the process. Few beings have ever met Kaon, or even know of his existence, and fewer still have survived those meetings.

SUPREME KAI -- Ikenbon

The Supreme Kai is responsible for the universe as a whole, and seeks to maintain galactic order. Very few events in all of history have required the Supreme Kai's involvement, which is not to say they are absent, but merely that their work is done with such secrecy, and with such a subtle touch as to go unnoticed.

GRAND KAI -- Yazmin

The Grand Kai oversees the appointment of the Quadrant Kais, and is directly responsible for maintaing order within the Afterlife itself, including seeking improvements for Heaven, and HFIL.

THE THREE DIVINE SPARKS -- Uluuru, Dexic, and Korolin

The Divine Sparks of Insignia, while not technically part of the Pantheon of dieties concerning the Afterlife itself, are treated with the same respect and reverance as the Kais of the Otherworld for they shepherd the spirits of Androids, and Bio-Androids to their own resting places when the light of their powercores has gone out.

NORTH KAI -- Rendo

The North Kai, Rendo, rules over the northern quadrants of the universe, which includes Earth, Zeon VII, and LEGENDE.

SOUTH KAI -- 'Moon Goddess'

The South Kai, simply known as the 'Moon Goddess' by those within the southern hemisphere of the galaxy, rules over the planets of EON (Epitome of Nightmares), Konats, Arlia, and Vira.

EAST KAI -- Khonsu

The East Kai, Khonsu, rules over the eastern quadrant of the cosmos, which includes planet Namek, Kaiosei, Yardrat, Kanassa, and Haven.

WEST KAI -- Saiki

The West Kai, Saiki, rules over the western quadrant of the galaxy, which includes Ng Yelo (Iceria), Hydia, and Planet Vegeta.

KING YEMMA

King Yemma is the overseer of the Afterlife. The custodian of souls. It is his responsibility to see that each soul reaches its final destination, is judged fairly for their actions in the mortal world, and to appoint the Kami of the universe.

KAMI

Each world with sentient life is granted the power, and authority of a 'Kami' or a 'God' whose job is to safeguard and direct the souls born of that world. The Kami of the universe often reside on Lookouts cloaked by magic from all prying eyes. They may at times offer guidance, or training to those they watch over, but they cannot directly interfere with events in the world. The Kami are also responsible for creating, and maintaining the Dragonballs of their world. Dragonballs are powerful, mystical relics whose powers vary wildly from planet to planet.
